Berlin has undergone a dramatic transformation since the destruction of the wall in 1989. The city has attracted artists from around the world with its boundless possibilities, allowing them to communicate, and collaborate, surpassing the confines of such genres as art, music, architecture, video, etc., to give birth to unique forms of expression. This exhibition will be held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Japan/German friendship in 2011 and will introduce the real art scene that has become established through this diverse cultural mix since 2000.

This exhibition is a project that takes place on occasion of the festivities of “150 Years Friendship Germany – Japan” with the support of the Goethe-Institut Japan.
