Opened in 1986 and then moved to Kayabacho, Tokyo in 2004, dealing in modern and contemporary arts, Base Gallery not only represents Japanese artists but also artists from other countries. Apart from artworks from Western countries, Base Gallery also specializes in Southeast Asian and Chinese art. Not restricted to art, projects binding together art and other areas of culture, such as music, literature or food, are also our characteristics. Among the represented artists are Keisuke Shirota, Minako Abe, Yasuko Iba, Nobuyuki Takahashi, Ryotaro Endo, Shigeno Ichimura, Mayumi Terada, Hong Hao and Ji Dachun.
