Keiko Ikemura holds a group exhibition in Berlin, for the Fukushima and the consequences in Japan

Leiko Ikemura, based in Berlin, has held a group exhibition "Fukushima and the consequences LEIKO IKEMURA invites artists and architects" from June 8 - July 17 at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin. The exhibition shows "works which reflect upon the current situation in Fukushima and Northern Japan, questioning our attitude towards the earth and the cycle of creation and destruction" (quoted from Ikemura'S statement).

The participating artists are; Curtis Anderson, Katharina Grosse, Jun Kaneko, Boris Mikhailov, Daido Moriyama, Yoko Ono, Yutaka Takanashi, Shōmei Tōmatsu, Rosemarie Trockel and Wim Wenders, amongst others.

Also the first solo exhibiion in Japan for Ikemura will be held from August 23 - October 23 at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
