Art critic and philosopher, Koji Taki was died at the age of 82 on April 13. Taki was born in 1928 in Kobe, graduated from Tokyo University. He was known by the criticism activity in a wide range of cultural social field, including photography, art and architecture.

Taki received”Geijutsu Sensho" (art recommending prize of Minister of Education) in 1998 in his writing "Sisyphus's laughter - the art of Anselm Kiefe" (Iwanami Shoten, 1997). He was also consecutively the professor of Tokyo University of Art and Design, the professor of The University of Chiba, and the Kobe art Institute of Technology guest professor.
