Aya cagiu was graduated from Tama Art University in 2001 and has learned different kinds of needlework techniques from traditional craftworks and now creates embroidery pieces that enhance a contemporary quality.

“Ever since people started needling, there have been so many patterns created for a variety of occasions. I feel that every stitch have memories of person who needled it.

What I would like to express for this time is to stitch and capture my emotions and sceneries like sea and sky that keep changing their shapes at each time I breathe.”

Aya Cagiu’s “Over the sea, in the sky” is going to start from 3 of March at Showcase.
