Opened in Sagacho, Tokyo in 1998, the gallery moved to the Roppongi complex building and then in 2008 to Bakurocho where it has been noted as one of the new cultural centers of Tokyo. The plan of the new gallery space was designed by the architect, Jun Aoki.
There are about 20 represented artists including veterans such as Ryuji Miyamoto and Taiji Matsue as well as promising young artists including Yuki Tawada, Cozue Takagi, Kensuke Sasaki and Ryan Gander. TARO NASU focuses on conveying the message that contemporary art is an experience rather than just mere objects.
