Gallery Tsubaki

Opened in 1983 in Kyobashi, Tokyo, Gallery Tsubaki has held exhibitions focusing on Japanese contemporary art. It has two exhibition spaces – Gallery Tsubaki and Gallery Tsubaki GT2, where the gallery introduces various kinds of art including paintings, 3D works, and prints. ranging from those by impressionable young artists to those by veteran artists. Moreover, there are also regular exhibition-related events such as talks or a mini-concerts, etc.

In recent years the gallery has been making efforts to discover and support young artists, and has participated in art fairs around Asia since 2004. The gallery tries to introduce new aspects and prvide the chance that through the experience that both the gallery and artists might be exhibited in such international places.

Among the represented artists are Akira Okamoto, Naoko Kadokura, Satoshi Kanai, Kenji Kitagawa, Natsuko Kitamura, Shigeyuki Kimura, Asa Go, Sawako Goda, Yuji Kobayashi, Satoko Takagi, Masatoshi Tsunematsu, Yukiko Tomita, Asagi Natsume, Chika Hattori, Tatemi Murokoshi, Michihiro Mochizuki, Mayuka Yamamoto, Tatsumasa Watanabe and Akihiro Watabiki.
