After studying textile design at the Kuwazawa Design School, Shigeno has changed her medium of expression to oil painting and has been producing many brilliantly colored paintings depicting the changes of the seasons, and nature and atmosphere of everyday life.

The show will feature Shigeno's Scratch Series - a body of work on canvases with surfaces scratched to reveal the underlying colors of paint, and the Collage Series - a body of work created by pasting different materials layered with crayon pastel and acrylic paint.
