These are ceramic works which provoke our physiological sense by the expression of an organic body which stripe and flesh seem to wriggle. The large-scale work shows the conflicting sides: the grotesqueness of life and the beautifulness of the zest for living. The most impressive work might be the dragonfly-motif work entitled “dragonfly”. The appearance just to spring is more sensual than an actual dragonfly by arranging that the body parts are fully exposed. I was deprived by the powerful sense of existence while having momentarily flinched to the freshness.
It is also interesting to imagine the story from the motif which suggests a SF-like story in the pose or the form. The artist’s profound observation eyes seem to be alive for the technique such as properly using each technique to an adequate part without breaking a large ceramic work.
It is an exhibition that any kinds of people who have a boy's mind can enjoy while feeling admiration though it is too stimulant to the child.
