Port Gallery T is located at a cultural spot where the National Museum of Art, Osaka, galleries, and book shops gather within a business area. As a gallery which mainly handles photographs, it was opened in 2007 at Yasuda building founded in 70 years before, located at the north of Utsubo Park.
The opening exhibition was on Osamu Kanayama. Afterwards, Port Gallery T has introduced young artists based in Kansai district along with established artists, as seen in the exhibition of Shinzo Shimao, Tokuko Ushioda, Etsuko Kasagi, and Asako Narahashi. They plan to attempt an experimental project by a new media while treating photograph works at the center in the future. As approaching many events and programs, it aims to be a place with a discovery and an interest provided by a power of sending an innovative art.
Port Gallery T also establishes a shop & viewing space as an annex, and is making efforts to sales of photograph collections, postcards, and original prints. Osamu Kanemura, Tokuko Ushioda, Shinzo Shimao, Asako Narahashi, and Jomi Kim.
