Gallery-58 is a contemporary art gallery opened in 2004, and exhibits a wide range of high-quality artists from post-WW avant-garde artists, and veteran artists such as Tatsuo Ikeda, Yutokutaishi Akiyama, Tatsumi Yoshino, and Mitsuko Tabe, to emerging young artists. Moreover, it has a role of introducing artists based in the Kyushu district since the headquarters, "Gallery Towarl" founded in 1979, is based in Fukuoka, Kyushu. Gallery-58 is also active in holding other events such as talk shows, as well as exhibitions, in an attempt to spread news of contemporary art in various ways.
