FUKUGAN GALLERY was opened in 1998 and FUKUGAN PLUS in 2001, and then the two galleries were integrated and reopened in the present location in 2005. FUKUGAN DESIGN was newly established in 2006, and the mark and logo were changed to the current ones in 2007. As one of the few galleries which hold exhibitions of contemporary art by young artists and contemporary music events too, FUKUGAN GALLERY holds crossover events featuring exhibitions and live music, which has discovered new art and music fans. There, we can experience the coexistence of art and music without any bias towards either. Also FUKUGAN GALLERY often holds exhibitions by artists who are also active in music, such as Ikuo Taketani, the graphic writer “cosa one”, and Yoshihito Mizuuchi, and it has a strong connection with the Kansai underground culture. By the way, the Murata Liquor Store on the first floor in this building is known as a standing drinking house where local artists have gathered for over 30 years. Among the represented artists are Sakiko Kurita, Saori Miyake, Tomoko Iwai, Ikuo Taketani, Yoshihito Mizuuchi, Yoshiko Haraguchi, Misaki Taguchi, Naohiro Gonda, cosa one, Atsuo Nakagawa, Natsuko Tanaka, Chihiro Habu,
