Everyday events and time spent penetrate in the artist herself over a long period of time, and eventually the reality as details and textures are removed from there. Saiko Kashiwada then paints the images that are emerged anew.
Takayanagi Mamiko pursues paintings that delve deeply into her inner self and spirituality by expressing her own life that once existed in a certain place as landscape paintings including the nature within it and the impressions and sensations she has experienced.

‘The two artists continue to paint artworks that reconcile the human hearts, including the past and the future, at night when it feels like suffocating. In the mornings when I feel as my heart is about to break, I remember their works. Yes, be careful enough and let's go out to meet. Whether it is F. Sagan or P. Éluard, it is not so important now.’
Tetsuya Miyata (art critic and organiser of this exhibition)
