‘For someone like me who makes living by farming, the ground is a space where life and death continuously repeat their tasks. That black earth covers the gallery space. It is an entrance to under the ground or to the hell.’

Misaki Ishikawa uses the Gallery’s floor to resemble a farmland, and compares ‘work’ of art and ‘cultivation’ of farming. She emphasizes that there is a common meaning or feeling among these two. This exhibition throws us a question about our own ‘death’.
