Gallery Trinity, in corroboration with Kaikaikiki, has the first solo exhibition of Akane Koide who made her debut as an artist when she was 15 years old. She is still a high school student but works actively as one of Kaikaikiki artists. We are planning to show 6 paintings and about 5 drawings in the exhibition. The main art piece is a big painting, 150cm x 300cm in dimension, created when she attended the live-paint at Japan Hobby show in May 2009. She is expressing something that only the girls of her own generation can understand as well as something that she is inspired by when she is talking with her classmates. Her paintings are cute and little eerie at the same time. They make “World of Akane Koide”, the sensitivity of high school girls and unexpectedly subtle colors.
