Iwasaki consistently tries to turn invisible existence - time, space and memory - into perceivable things. As a method to make invisible existence perceivable, he uses moving image that goes beyond the language barrier, and the moving image works with added drawings on a piece of paper produce a poetic atmosphere.
[Artist Statement] “Creation of animation makes me feel like I am creating earthen statues of time. This short animation, however, is more close to the engraving-like feeling which is disappearing from the whole of gigantic time and leaving the very moment of it. Speaking of it without the fear of contradiction, the repeating vision remained is a longing for vanishing, and it is for artfully disappearing rather than for surviving. It seems like momentary silence spreading out in the condensed time just before the disappearing.”
