ART SPACE NIJI opened in August 1981 in Kyoto. It is a gallery that aims to showcase experimental and innovative artistic expression, ranging from veterans to emerging artists, as well as including internationally well-known artists such as Kenji Yanobe, Miwa Yanagi, Yasue Kodama, and Osamu Kokufu. ART SPACE NIJI has also been involved with the publication of contemporary art, including Osamu Horio, and Tatsumi Orimoto. In this way, the gallery is also dedicated to recording art history.
