Gallery MoMo is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Satoshi Osada titled “Microcosmos Superposed.” In this exhibition, Osada will develop his own microcosmos in the gallery by representing his paintings with his original fames and studies.

 Osada usually listens to the electronic music in his progress. He depicts the images of the melodies that are minimal portraits but are not able even to recognize the gender. These portraits seem to be designs with colors Frank Stella used and hold the musical harmony of the colors.

The artist draws a lot of studies on his portable sketchbook without any thoughts in the bus on his way to work. Listening the music from his headphones, he delineates them intuitively　rather than expressing something. This process is like playing the early video games that have the flat screen and the electronic music. In addition, the process constructs microcosmos by accumulating the drawings everyday.

Osada was born in Shizuoka, Japan in 1980 and graduated from the philosophy Department of Kokugakuin University in 2004. He had his first exhibition titled “electronic music world” at the booth of TKGY at lammfromm in GEISAI #4 in 2004.
