If it is the reason for Hokkaido that Shu Saito resides in Sapporo, his painting is indifferently dry as well as white, clear, and magnificent though it is simple. It is guessed that the locality certainly influences though it is like an adjective that shows the earth in the north. A certain event is indifferently drawn in the wood panel, on the other hand, there is a sentimental feeling there which recoll our past memory. The exhibition place (3F mini gallery of neutron tokyo) is now composed like a collage; an individual panel is piled to the floor, or exhibited in the place not noticed.
