In Saito's photographs, the subject come under the light of the sun from the back. The face of the person has come off in white by a strong backlight. I am confused by the paradox; the image of photograph is fixed by light in general photograph, but in his works, the object is erased by light. However, the photograph still reflects an subject. Is his photograph capture the moment that the eye catchs the subject? The light makes me imagine various expressions of the subject, and recall a dear person.
