Opened near Minudera in Kyoto in June 2010, having rebuilt a traditional house as a commercial gallery to introduce the artists it represented. Fashion designers and art directors etc are invited to be guest curators, leading to enthusiastic exhibitions. It was known as the popular gallery “gallery incurve” in Shinsaibashi, Osaka which was open for only half a year between September 2007 and March 2008.

The “atelier incurve” was established in 2002as an art studio and the operational headquarters of the Sooukai social welfare association, . It provides an environment for intellectually disabled artists and their creative activities, and supports their independence. In 2005, the “atelier incurve” signed a contract with a gallery in New York for an exhibition. They have also held artists’ exhibitions in several museums in Japan including Suntory Museum, Hamamatsu City Museum, and others, as well as overseas. The exhibitions have all been highly appraised. Moreover, they also produce and sell art goods designed by professional designers who use the gallery artists’ work.
