Musée d’art Mercian KARUIZAWA in Nagano, managed by Mercian Corporation, is closed in November of 2011. This museum was opened in 1994 in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Mercian establishment as redecorating the whisky barrel storehouse in the Mercian Karuizawa distillation with the direction of French architect, Jean = Michele Wilmotte. Since the opening in 1995, about 870,000 people visited.
