MASAKO "PRESEA" (2008), 1620x1303mm, water-thinned paint and acrylic on canvas. Courtesy of Galerie Sho Contemporary Art copy right(c) 2008 MASAKO MASAKO, who left a strong impression at the group exhibition on February this year, is going to hold a solo exhibition. The consistent theme she focuses on is the tenuous and dependent relationships with others in our time. She highlights the strengths and weakness of human beings. "When I am painting, my sensitivity guides me. I hope the viewer feels something which can't be put into words." Trying to explain, she feels clumsy at the shallow sound of it but with unexplainable sensibility, what she sees in the world at the very moment is put into pieces. You cannot turn away from the strengths and weakness captured in her works. *All text provided by Galerie Sho Contemporary Art |
