“What Can I Do for The Disaster?”
After the east Japan earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011, Japanese artists are just a small portion of Japanese who have suffered great hurt on our mentality. But we have decided to hold a charity exhibition at “GURA”, an art space in Fushimi, Kyoto, communicating with each other via twitter, email, and mobile phones, etc.

We hope more people will be concerned about the reconstruction support for the disaster area, and join in the network of aid, through art. This is what we can do at this stage of this cataclysmic catastrophe. Each art work will be sold at a flat rate of \10,000. We will donate the full proceeds to the Japanese Red Cross Society. Please come to GURA and buy our works, we will support affected population together.

－ Buy and Sell －
- We hope that the network of aid becomes bigger and stronger, and that we can provide a venue for ordinary people or students who can ’t buy such expensive art works, to see and buy good works, and be familiar with art.
- Each person can buy up to two pieces.
-We do not accept the orders in advance, by phone.
-This operatation on a first-come-first-served basis. You might need to receive numbered ticket and wait in line.
- You cannot resell any pieces.
- We do not issue any certificates.
- Only simple packaging will be used and we will ask you to take responsibility for taking the work away.
- Some people may be working on the preparation of the “G祭(G-Sai)/GURA Festival ” which starts at 19:00, however this is a separate event.
