"The Artist’s House" is located in the suburb of Vienna, Austria. It’s actually the Maria Gugging National Neurology Center. It all started 50 years ago when the hospital let the mentally retarded people to draw as a way of mental therapy. And they managed to create such an extraordinary works. Even now at “The Artist’s House” numerous artists are continuing to produce the strong and pure works that harrows your heart. It was about 10 years ago that I’ve encountered their artworks through a catalog. I also had great opportunity to visit the place in 2004 and 2007, and to interact with them. My origin as an artist is in Gugging. Please experience this powerful genuine art firsthand.
