Marefumi Komura’s debut solo exhibition was held two years ago in Tokyo. The impression he left was exquisite and people’s eyes were just captured by the series of unusual paintings. Komura keeps challenging the simplest and the most difficult thing for contemporary artists to achieve, paints whatever he wants to. His paintings are grotesquely reveal fresh traces of brush strokes as if they had living human tissue against the sharply painted background surface.

The dynamism of colors and the textures that created by layered oil paints are not replicable even with the most advanced digital imaging device. For this time, there are going to be more than 20 oil paintings and 30 drawings that would definitely dazzle your eyes and minds.
