Tadasu Takamine "God Bless America" (2002); video (8’18”)

Contemporary artist TAKAMINE Tadasu (b. 1968) makes consistently powerful artworks using a variety of media, from installation to video and performance. TAKAMINE uses his artworks to question and cast doubt on elements of public opinion that relate to complex social problems. This is the artist's first comprehensive mid-career retrospective exhibition and it includes representative examples from early works to new pieces he will make while in residence in Yokohama.
