Maya Ishii’s large work of summer sky and small-sized 24 works will be exhibited this time. The same girl is painted in the series of these small pieces. The scene changes with the time passage and her various gestures show us her lively appearance. There is a gentle gaze here as if someone is turning the pages of an album full of memories.

The scene Ishii cuts off is very closed to us but always gives us the small hope. The sparkling sea, the sky and its boundary. Street lamps burned one by one in the lingering sunlight.

Ishii sends us the message that the same moment will never come again even if she paints the same scene, the same girl and the cuts of daily lives.

You can feel her wish painted into the moment through the light and shadow sparkling on the waves and from the warm relation between each works.
