This is his first solo exhibition in YOKOI FINE ART. The newest sculptures additional to those executed for Art Fair Tokyo held at the beginning of April will be exhibited.
Their skins are expressed by the bark of the tree and gives out the allure lustrously.
The grain of wood carved out under Miyake’s intention enables you to see the stream of “ki”(the vital force).
There is the necessity he employs the wood as a material for his sculpture.
The human body and the spirit inherent in are embodied through the wood.
While the Yoga series seems to have the spirit in it and has the solemn atmosphere, their faces are calm and have the benevolent to tolerate the viewers. Miyake’s new artworks in this exhibition are executed under the consideration of the relationship and the position of each sculpture. It will help you to feel and understand his world more deeply. You may feel to be purified in the gallery filled with the dignified mood.
Please feel his world of “ki” which keeps deepening.
