She took a fresh look at her works in the past and wants to work free from them. My favorite work from this exhibition is the one with the exhibition with a sub-title, "Night's Curtain." It consists of two pieces, top and bottom, and in monochrome, which is very rare as most of her works have beautiful colours. I felt like I was holding my breath and looking hard at the long winter night filled with stillness where the time flows slowly and calmly. It makes you feel that you are going into the quiet winter night. Please stand in front of this work with peaceful mind. I believe that you can feel the quiet winter night. Miyuki Takenaka

The vague, obscure air of borders such as turn of seasons, border of night and dusk. The dangers of opposites exist next to each other such as strength concealed in weakness and transience and coziness hidden in anxiety.

I want to express the trifle senses of everyday life in my work.
