A print atelier “Nomart Edition” was established in 1989, and the “Nomart Edition / Project Space” was opened in October 1999. In 2005, the exhibition space was enlarged and renamed the “Nomart Project Space - cube & loft”, and then reopened and renamed as “Gallery Nomart” in May 2009 on the 20th anniversary of its foundation.
The center of the activity is "The project, production, and publication of contemporary art", "Gallery", and "Design and edit studio". However the activity is diversified into a variety of creations and expression activities over the traditional print atelier. Their principle of supporting artists from the forefront of art might naturally have led them into these various activities. Gallery Nomart introduces active artists based in the Kansai region, and the works are exhibited in a vast space with a high-ceiling.
Among the represented artists are Hideki Kimura, Keiji Uematsu, Masahito Katayama, Naruki Oshima, Yoshinobu Nakagawa, Kodai Nakahara, Yasuko Iba, Hajime Imamura, Kohei Nawa, Motonori Inagaki, Asako Tanaka, Haruna Toyotomi, Nobuhiro Nakanishi, Nobuaki Onishi, Takako Hojo, and Chu Enoki.
