Opened in April of 2001, “studio J” introduces new and young artists regardless of genre, from inside and outside the country. These remarkable artists create narrative and fantastic works through which we can enjoy a unique view of the world. It is also noted that “studio J” introduces object-type works, using unusual techniques.
Among the represented artists are Yukari Araki, Akikazu Iwamoto, Yui Usui, Nobuaki Onishi, Masae Kariya, Sako Kojima, Ryoko Takahashi, Kohei Nawa, Chikako Hayakawa, Jhoan Peter Hol, and Susan Pietzsch.
