Antonella first started on a group exhibition in Milan, 1989. Since then she has been continuously participating for a solo show and an art fair every year in Switzerland, Spain, and Belgium, especially in Italy. This is her first solo exhibition in Japan. Red - rosso
Ruby, a dress, manicure and lipstick. When a woman chooses red, it is a moment when she recognizes again that “I am a woman”. Although black is a color which shows every woman beautifully, red could be a color that woman do not want to choose without having some self-confidence. Not knowing who she really is she might be defeated at the color. Red is such a color. The women Lucarella depicts are always dignified in manner, beautiful and glamorous and are in a special moments. The red women stand out well and look so powerful in the dark background. Apparently the canvas is composed very simple but when you approach and look at the surface, you see and feel the texture of the skin like plaster, a textile of the dress, and delicate shadow effectively drawn by the pencil, acrylic, the watercolor, ink, and gold foil, etc. Her superior technique that manipulates various materials in a canvas without feeling "mixed media on canvas". We just respect her gifted sense.

“What we admire in this artist is the sensitivity with which she has understood the art of drawing: in every spot, background and variable sign everything is devoted to the final result of concentrated vividness, of mysterious musical interiority. Her works are at the meeting point between the ancient and the modern. …”
