SAIT Yufuji "burning dog" 2020 Acrylic, oil on panel 63.0x76.0cm

Galerie Tokyo Humanité is pleased to announce SAIT Yufuji's solo exhibition of new paintings entitled C - Canis. Animals of the genus Canis include domestic dogs. Sait says it seems that humans and dogs overlap. He has painted various animals which are not natural and their life and death have been modified by humans. Sait paints everyday life of humans through animals and flaming anxiety in modern society as large fire.

Sait (b.1949) received his B.A. in industrial design from Musashino Art University in Tokyo in 1973. In the same year, he went to Vienna to study traditional oil tempera technique and had exhibitions in Germany, Austria and Poland. He returned to Japan in 1988 and had a solo exhibition in our gallery in 1989. Sait currently lives and works in Yamagata, Japan.
