Galerie Tokyo Humanité is pleased to announce KASAHARA Mei's solo exhibition of new paintings. Kasahara carefully select a scene in everyday life or a shape of an ordinary item and reconstruct it on a square canvas using three colors. A combination of minimal colors and shape recalls our memories and leads us to new diverse image.

Kasahara (b. 1996) received her B.A. in constructive art from the University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan in 2019 and had her first solo exhibition in our gallery that year. Her recent exhibitions include Correspondence Between Play and Expression (2019, Gallery Iriya, Tokyo), Enhancement of Expression (2019, University of Tsukuba 30th Anniversary Hall), and Solo Exhibition "figure" (2018, Art Gallery T+, Ibaraki, Japan).
