Opened in Shibuya, Tokyo in November o 2005, relocated to Shirogane in April of 2009. In January of 2010, they Shibuya space "NANZUKA UNDERGROUND SHIBUYA" was also restarted as a place to hold 3 - 4 special exhibitions per a year based on the concept "Border of fine art and the opponent". NANZUKA UNDERGROUND has played an important background role in galvanizing the crucible of pop culture in Japan – Shibuya. It is also evaluated highly for introducing well-known artists such as Naohiro Ukawa and Keiichi Tanaami, as well as emerging artists, who all reflect its original style and strong individuality. NANZUKA UNDERGROUND moved to the second floor of the so-called "SHIROKANE ART COMPLEX" when it expanded in April, 2009. The activity “on the ground” is now the main focus of. Among the represented artists are Keiichi Tanaami, Martin Mannig, Noritoshi Hirakawa, Tomoki Kurokawa, Kosuke Tsumura, Hiroki Tsukuda, Naohiro Ukawa, Taku Anekawa, MUSTONE, Akiyoshi Mishima, Yomar Augusto, Alexander Gelman, and Paul Davis.
