Left: Tabei Tsutomu, Right: Nabeshima Masayo

Masayo Nobeshima captures the complex motions that are created by the presence of media as oil paints and the illusions made by ‘self’. Tsutomu Tabei searches the infinite possibilities of substance as Chinese ink that is ever-changing depending on its environment and how it is handled. This exhibition ‘Parallel Thinking’ by these two different artists is clearly different from the usual joint two-man exhibitions.
‘Some things are recognized as they become clear when we put different minds and media in a parallel line. Something is created, which brings good things in one another and becomes complement of one another. There we can find possibilities that are beyond individual.’
In order to embody above concept, They have chosen a unique exhibiting style which each artists’ works are placed next to each other’s as each installation consists of two different artists’ works.
