TWS Art Cafe is presenting a solo exhibition of work by BOTAN Yasuyoshi, who observes the relationships of things and reconstructs via his own rules of color and form to realize painting expressions imbued with mysterious stillness and emotion. “Thaw”, a modality of snow, indicates the new start which also enfolds the trace of TWS Shibuya closing this September and since 2005. Born in 1971, Osaka. Graduated from School of Visual Arts, Department of Fine Art, NY.
Recent exhibitions: ”Emerging Images” (Itami City Museum of Art, Hyogo,2017), ”gone before flower” (ARTCOURT Gallery, Osaka, 2016). Participated in ”From Scratch” (Tokyo Wonder Site Shibuya, Tokyo, 2005). Award: The Pollock-Krasner Foundation (2012).
