” minichoukoku ” exhibition

"minichoukoku" is the title of the education program by professor Ogura Yoichi at Nihon University College of Art. In this program each student makes a work which must meet following conditions. (1)within a square with each side of 25cm. (2)carriable by the author oneself. (3)the author can do the presentation of the work anywhere anytime. And the presentaition of the work by the auther and the disscusion between all the menmbers about the work is defined as the necessary factor for the work in this of this program. Thus this program aims to help the students to gain the ability to think about the essential factors of art and to continue art activities while the situations around art in this society is changing all the time.

This exhibition is the first experiment to introduce the idea and practice of "minichoukoku" program outside the college, featuring the graduate students, graduates who has exprienced this progrme and some teachers of sculpture course including professor Ogura.
