"If I Were A Goldfish" (2016) wool, toso, Nihonga pigments, 23×18×20 cm

Taking the unique approaches of needle felting and toso doll-making to give her works form and Nihonga painting materials to give them color, Akatin creates sculptures that leave deep impressions on viewers.
“From alarm bells to slow rhythms, powerful rhythms, and fading rhythms, the sounds of life from all kinds of circumstances overlap to form our days. My works reflect these beats that play out in the world.” -akatin-
