Since 1985, Utsumi Nobuhiko has developed his painting works to express elemental energy which goes consistently from the birth of the universe, through the history of the life, and to the generation of human society. His works titled "Innerscape" are the field where consciousness and body and material act on mutually, and there we can find the face of "necessity" in this world which brings about physical nature, life phenomenon and human mind either.
Inspired from Chinese traditioanl Shan shui, he has been searching for the original technique of ink-flow painting, and in recent years he is opening the horizon of the new abstract picture - we may call it ""Space Shan shui" - , which flows endlessly with unpredictable dynamism.
