Founded in Ginza, Tokyo in 1969, this long-established art gallery introduces mainly Japanese artists both domestically and overseas by holding permanent and project exhibitions and participating in domestic and international art fairs. In recent years Gallery Hirota Bijutsu has been particularly involved in finding and promoting young artists in addition to its role of featuring Japanese and Western-style paintings of the modern age which has been its policy since its establishment. Among the represented artists in the contemporary art field are Natuski URUSHIHARA, Hiroaki KANO, Tomoyuki KANBE, Makoto TERAUCHI and Takashi YAMAUCHI.
