Zen Foto is pleased to announce an exhibition of photographs: “Kazuo Kitai (b. 1944) in China, 1973”, and the publication of a book of photographs of the exhibition. These photographs were taken by Kazuo Kitai during his visit to China in 1973 with Ihei Kimura. In Kitai`s distinctive style he depicts China during the Cultural Revolution just a few years before the death of Mao. This is China when it had a huge population but still a tiny economy and before the introduction of market opening policies that have brought Chinese economy to exceed Japan`s GDP. We also announce the opening of Zen Foto Beijing. The first exhibition of Zen Foto Beijing is an exhibition of vintage prints of Inoue Seiryu. We attach the PR information to this message. For further information please contact us in Tokyo or our gallery manager Laura Tinley in Beijing. * The text provided by Zen Foto Gallery. Opened dates: June 25 - July 18, 2010 |
