・ Born in Tokyo ・ Graduated from Joshibi High School of Art and Design ・ BA in Japanese painting, Kyoto Seika University, Kyoto ・ Print-Making (Copperplate), Wright State University, USA ・ T.A. for Japanese Language/Culture studies, Antioch College, USA ・ Studied Sumie at the Hodo Sakai school, Tokyo 2006 Solo exhibition 2010 Solo exhibition 2013 The Japan Print Association 2014 MINI PRINT INTERNATIONAL OF CADAQUÉS, Spain 2014 Zenkoku Suibokuga Association, awarded “Shuhitsu” prize 2015 MINI PRINT INTERNATIONAL OF CADAQUÉS, Spain 2016 Solo exhibition 2014, started RIMPA SUMIE CLUB with the aim of introducing Sumie to people from foreign countries at Universities. Strongly influenced by pictures of the Tale of Genji since childhood, my main interest is in Japanese classic painting. Both studying classic art methods and creating unique art to be consistent is an important idea.
