There are two English words for the Japanese word ‘freedom’, ‘freedom’ and ’liberty’. Freedom is said to be something that everyone has naturally, whereas liberty is something that one needs to gain by fighting against many obstacles. In the deepest part of our soul, where nothing can infringe, we all naturally have the freedom to think, feel and imagine. However, it is not always easy to make these ideas stand on their own before others in the public. The creation of a ‘work of art’, the ‘beauty’ that art seeks, is a struggle to win the ‘liberty’ of the soul in the real world. Now that the Corona situation has made people in all fields of expression more aware of the preciousness and irreplaceability of presenting artworks, we would like to create this exhibition in the name of ‘liberty’ Part 1 Artists : Nishio Shuhei, Hayakawa Yuki, Matsumoto Shinichi
