White gives out a dazzling light as it swallows up all colours. And the shimmering shallow amplitude of the colours that slowly emerge from the white is like a chromatography of the mind. Surrounded by the slow but precise rhythmic variations of Nobuo Hayashi’s paintings, we are able to slowly calm our daily emotional turmoil.
In this exhibition we can find the rustle of materials appears like ripples on the surface of a quiet lake, and there are shadows which seem to create some kind of images. Comparing to his last works there is a difference and lightness there, and so it is as a new wind is blowing.
