Tobu Koga sets up a spacial construction using water-coloured flat surfaces, and by doing so he expresses his own views of nature, humanity and the world. Two dimensional images converted into three dimensional enable to form a mutual relationship, and by transforming continuously this creates a characteristic place.
This artwork ‘Way Home’ was a result of his everyday experiences. He gained his inspiration from a unique environment that was occurred by a small plant that catches one’s eyes it the corner of a street. Things become each other’s environment and together with himself included create this whole world. Koga expresses this realisation in his work.
