Urasaki Mikio is an artist who paints only visible things as subjects. It is because he is fascinated by the very energy of how the external surroundings affect his internal senses. Every day scenes that unexpectedly captured his eyes stand in his way accidentally as different nature, and they shake his ways of looking or perceiving. Experiences as such become the motive of his creations. His unique technique combining decalcomania and collage seems to be conflicting with the transparent realistic-ness created by his calm touch, yet it creates the never-ending challenge how to picturise the things’ otherness that keeps us at a certain distance. In each work created here, we can feel our every day scenes (which we are used to ) approach us with exceptional reality and mysterious presence. http://galleryk.la.coocan.jpInformation Provided by: Gallery K Period: March 27,2017 (Mon) 〜 April 1,2017 (Sat) |
