Opened in Kichijoji, Tokyo in December 1985 as a project gallery for contemporary art, subsequently relocated to Higashi-Koganei in June 2001, and then opened an additional space "SOH GALLERY K3" in Kichijoji in October 2009. Soh Gallery holds exhibitions of various art works including a plane, a solid, a photograph, ceramics, sound installation, and other kinds of installation work, as well as other kinds of performances. To provide a chance to find a new expression-possibility and creative direction for artists, Soh Gallery holds in-depth discussions with each artist prior to each exhibition, which helps create an impressive exhibition space. The gallery also produces and publishes its own catalogue, CD, videos, portfolio, and prints of artist whose work has been exhibited there. Among the represented artists are Masami Tada, Mika Yoshizawa, Toshio Shibata, Yasumasa Morimura, Kishio Suga, Kuniichi Shima, Rosaria Iazzetta, Lee Yunbok, Hirotsune Tashima, Shigeo Anzai, Shintaro Ajioka, Makoto Ito, Yukio Nakagawa, Yukinori Yanagi, Go Yayanagi, Keiko Yamada, and Yoon Hee-Chang.
