Nana Fukushima started drawing her series of ‘Walking Flowers’ after reading the book called ‘Ten Dreaming Nights’ by Souseki Natsume for the first time when she was 17 years old. If the flowers in the gardens had minds, what would they be thinking? She was moved by the reality and depth of the mind world that was outstanding among Souseki’s works. She draws as to mix the forms of the flowers she can actually see and what she perceives from the mind of the flowers. The flowers that continuously change their forms with enchanting colours do seem to have their own language, and they seem to smile and dance as they wish. http://galleryk.la.coocan.jpInformation Provided by: Gallery K Period: September 10,2018 (Mon) 〜 September 15,2018 (Sat) |
